Southern Divers have the systems in place to complete cleaning, inspection and repair works on water storage tanks, fire tanks, towers, well, pump stations, reservoirs, weirs, in pipes and cooling towers safely and efficiently. Our key personnel have extensive experience working in a series of water industry assets.
Southern Divers have a series of non-destructive testing equipment and inspection techniques to compliment these works. Non-destructive testing equipment includes ultra sonic thickness testers, CP guns and magnetic particle testing equipment.
With confined space and height safety certificates Southern Divers personnel have the experience to complete cleaning, inspection and repair works to both ground level and elevated water tanks. Southern Divers own and maintain their own tripod recovery system that can be set up over hatches and openings to be used in the event of an emergency.
Southern Divers have experience completed cleaning works in water storage tanks, fire tanks, towers, well, pump stations, reservoirs and cooling towers. Cleaning can be completed using suction hoses hooked into scour valves, through portable water pumps or vacuum trucks where disposal of material is required.
Southern Divers have separate systems for fresh and potable water environments. Southern Divers have their own wash down procedures for ensuring there is no contamination within potable water operations.
Southern Divers have a range of methods for inspecting fire tanks including both divers and remotely using ROVs. All works completed are in accordance with AS 1851-2012 Routine service of fire protection systems and equipment.
Southern Divers own and maintain their own contaminated diving equipment. Southern Divers have contamination procedures in place for these operations to be completed safely.
Our team have extensive experience working in contaminated environments included sewers, sewerage ponds and lagoons, water and wastewater industry, grey water storage, chlorine systems, polluted waterand effluent environments.
Southern Divers have all the equipment to complete a range of works in contaminated environments including inspection, non destructive testing, construction and demolition works. We can complete dredging operations, installation, repairs and replacement of equipment and salvage operations. Our team have a wide range of experience maintaining mixers, aerators, gates and diffusers.
Southern Divers have a series of underwater camera and video systems including Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) that can assist with pipe inspections, water storage tanks, fire tanks, towers, well, pump stations, reservoirs, weirs, and cooling towers.
Remote inspections using video systems or Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROVs) allows the assets to be inspected remotely without the use of divers.
Video systems all a digital video inspection of the asset with an overlay of the divers communication. Project managers and engineers can attend site, communicate with the divers and visually see what the diver is inspecting.
Southern Divers have a wide range of experience repairing tanks and reservoirs through to weirs. Southern Divers personnel are experienced in leak detection and can accurate locate sources of leaks.
Once leaks have been found we have experience using a range of repair methods and materials to stop small leaks in tank floors and wall through to liner repairs of large reservoirs.
Southern Divers also have heavy construction equipment to repair and refurbish weirs and dams.
All personnel have confined space and height access certification. This can assist when working on elevated platforms or tank and within sewers and confined areas.
